Ex-MP Nazim sues MP Riyaz for over MVR 400 k

Former Dhiggaru representative at parliament, Ahmed Nazim has sued Vilufushi representative for parliament, Riyaz Rasheed for over MVR 400,000.

The first hearing in the lawsuit has been scheduled for 10:15 am, Wednesday, at Civil Court.

Nazim filed the lawsuit claiming that Riyaz failed to pay rent money for the two apartments on 5th floor of M. Niyandhuruge - which he occupied with his wife and two children – from February 2011 to June, 2015.

Riyaz’s lawyer denied that Riyaz rented the apartments from M. Niyandhuruge during dispute settlement stage.

The case has now gone to trial as it failed to be resolved during dispute settlement stage.
