Man missing from Alifushi found dead

Farhad Mohamed, 37, from L. Alifushi, who went missing after Friday prayers was discovered dead on the beach on Saturday.

Vice President of Alifushi Council, Ibrahim Shareef informed “Sun” that Farhad’s body was found on the beach which lies to the East. And that his body was “damaged” when discovered.

“It must have been 24 hours. That’s for sure. It was very damaged,” said Shareef.

He said that it was not yet sure if the “damage” was from someone deliberately harming him, or for some other reason.

Farhad, who suffers from fits, was found dead after locals from the island went out looking for him after his family reported him missing.

Shareef said that he had no knowledge of anyone having a grudge against Farhad or any of his family members.
