Education orders schools to put religion first during Ramadan

Education Ministry has ordered all public schools to put religion first during Ramadan.

Education Ministry has ordered that schools arrange the timetable so that students can perform their prayers on time, and provide religious information and plan religious activities for them.

Schools have been ordered not to hold any activities between Maghrib and Isha prayer time.

And also during Tarawih prayer time.

Schools have been told to start morning session between 8:40 am and 9 am, and afternoon session between 11:30 am to 1 pm.

And to finish afternoon session by 3 pm.

Schools have been told to hold studies for students from grade 1 to grade 7 for 2 hour 30 minutes; 3 hours for students from grade 8 to grade 10; and four hours for students from grade

11 and 12.

Education Ministry has ordered that the schedule be continued until the end of the first seven days of Shawwal.
