IGMH: Condition of man injured unloading cargo stable

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital has said that the condition of the man who was injured on Tuesday while unloading cargo from a ship was now stable.

The man injured is Adam Ibrahim, 58, from H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi – who works for RKL Landing Craft.

IGMH media official Zeenath Ali Habeeb spoke to “Sun” on Wednesday and said that he had suffered injuries to his head and other parts of the body. But that his condition was now improving.

“The patient is now okay. Improving. He has multiple injuries,” said Zeenath.

Captain of RKL Landing Craft, Ahmed Naseel said on Tuesday that the incident took place at around 12 pm in Male' Port area, while Adam Ibrahim was unloading cargo from the ship – Jane. And said that he was badly injured.

“I suspect he injured his spine. He was badly injured. Drenched in blood,” said Naseel.
