Housing: Jogging trek will be done by end of May

Housing Ministry has said that the jogging trek being built in Boduthakurufaanu Magu will be done by end of May.

Media consultant for Housing Ministry, Ahmed Fazal Hussein told “Sun” on Wednesday that work on building the jogging trek was going full-swing, and that it would be complete by end of May.

The jogging trek is 700 meters long, and is being built between Tsunami Monument Maizaan and Rasfannu Artificial Beach.

Workers have dug up pavement bricks and palm trees planted when Rasfannu was built this year to build the jogging trek.

Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that the government envisioned the jogging trek to be something people of all age-groups would be able to use to stay fit.
