Adeeb questioned over kidnapping of Swiss businessman

Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has been questioned over the kidnapping of Swiss millionaire Cristopher Peter Nikola Gro.

Cristopher was abducted from his home in Switzerland on September 3, 2015.

The kidnappers had demanded USD 3 million in ransom money, and threatened to kill him if they weren’t paid.

Police suspect that Adeeb of planning and giving instructions to threaten employees of Noomadi Resorts and Residence – a company which Cristopher has shares in.

Police have made no comment regarding the case to media yet.
