Man badly injured unloading cargo

A RKL employee was injured on Tuesday, after cargo he was unloading from a ship rolled down and fell on top of him.

The injured man has been identified as Adam Ibrahim, 58, from H. Dh. Kulhudhuffushi – who works for RKL Landing Craft.

Captain of RKL Landing Craft, Ahmed Naseel said that the incident took place at around 12 pm in Male' Port area, while Adam Ibrahim was unloading cargo from the ship – Jane. And said that he was badly injured.

“I suspect he injured his spine. He was badly injured. Drenched in blood,” said Naseel.

Adam Ibrahim is being treated at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

IGMH said that the mad had suffered injuries to his head and other parts of the body. And that he had regained consciousness and was being treated at the hospital.
