The President said that some are requesting him to make certain decision about people that are arrested for crimes but there is nothing he can do.

“Was it no on our accord that the three structures of the government were separated? We want to make Maldives a modern civilized country. To make a democratic Maldives, the basis of democracy is written there on the constitution. A ruling system with separated structures of the government has been established.” The President said.

President Yameen said that instead of the Government going to the affairs of other institutes, a system that can monitor those institutes has been established.

The President said that he is a person to maintain the regulation among the people and would not influence the Judiciary in the all-party talks that begins tomorrow night.

He said that the corruption must be talked about and the opposition must tell him, with indifference to the color (of political parties) all the cases of corruption in the country must be investigated and send for prosecution.

“So if we want to rid the Maldives of corruption, President Yameen is here ready to rid the corruption off Maldives.” The President said.
