Police have said that though they had not yet made any arrests after a large quantity of liquor bottles were thrown on the streets of Male’ out of a car on Saturday night, they had seized a car.
Police media official spoke to “Sun” on Sunday and said that investigation into the case was going full-swing.
“A car has been impounded and investigation into the culprits behind the incident is ongoing,” said the official.
Eye witnesses reported to “Sun” that the car from which the liquor bottles were thrown out of had blacked out windshields, and that liquor bottles were thrown out at different locations from Kalhuthukkalaa Koshi to Dharubaaruge.
“Sun” has been informed that the liquor bottles were brought from a safari harbored near Hulhumale’.
The liquor bottles were thrown out of the car after police started following it.
