Getset loan money being issued

Loan money under the Getset Loan Scheme – set up by government to encourage young entrepreneurs is being issued.

Manager of the loan scheme, Maahil Ali Jaleel spoke to “Sun” on Monday and said that loan money had already been issued to one and that money would be issued to three more people within the week.

Maahil said that all 34 businesses would be issued the loan money by March.

It was announced last August that the loan money would be issued to 72 individuals from 34 businesses – totaling MVR 25 million.

The government will be issuing MVR 40 million per year under the Getset Loan Scheme for a period of 5 years.
