Indian High Commissioner’s car crashes, woman injured

Indian High Commissioner to Maldives, Akhilesh Mishra’s car crashed into a motorbike on Monday, injuring a woman.

Eye witnesses reported that one of the two women who were on the motorbike was injured, and that the woman was escorted to hospital for treatment by police.

The accident took place near Stelco building in Ameenee Magu. “Sun” reporters witnessed police boarding the High Commissioner’s car and driving off after the injured woman was taken to hospital.

Police media official said that a car crashed into a motorbike near Stelco. And that a woman injured in the accident was taken to ADK Hospital by police. But refused to divulge any more details regarding the case.

No details are available regarding the injuries sustained by the women either.
