Siyam: The Maldivian people would be enriched by the bridge

Leader of MDA and MP for Dh. Meedhoo constituency, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has said that the bridge being built between Malé and Hulhulé would enrich the Maldivian people.

Speaking at the government coalition (PPM/MDA) event “Hopeful 2016” last night, MP Siyam said that the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge is something that won’t be diminished in the history of the country.

“Bridge project is a big economy. Because of it the benefits to the people would increase.” MDA Leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed said.

The MDA Leader highlighted the developmental achievements of the government in the past two years.

He said that the Maldives is the only country to increase it’s national reserve by two folds in just two years and the thing keeping the freedom of a country is it’s reserve.

“Which country has, in two years doubled it’s reserve? There is none, in the whole world. If we want this, we need a big reserve. By the end of this five years, it would be doubled says our honorable President.” Siyam said.

Siyam said that by the end of this government’s five year term, the main airport of the country, Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) would be developed to service seven million tourists. He said that it would bring a joy to the Maldivian people that have never seen before.

“Today, with the amendment to the law by our wise President, all the resorts have not be completed yet would be completed all at once, even now about 30 resorts are being developed. About 50 guesthouses are being built. Numerous buildings are being constructed.” The Siyam said.

The MDAP Leader Siyam said that the MDA and PPM would always remain together.

He said that there is no political opposition in the Maldives that can defeat the two parties and the Maldivian people would prove it.
