Nihan back in ICU to give him time to recuperate

People’s Majlis representative for Vilimale and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Parliamentary Group Leader MP Ahmed Nihan Hussein Manik has been transferred back to ICU of ADK Hospital to give him time to recuperate.

Nihan, who was admitted in ICU immediately after he went to ADK Hospital complaining of chest pain last Friday had been transferred to a private room on Sunday after his condition got better.

He is being treated for a respiratory ailment.

Fellow People’s Majlis representative MP Riyaz Rasheed informed “Sun” that Nihan had been taken back to ICU on Monday, and that it had been done so he could get more time to recuperate. He said that Nihan’s condition had not gotten any worse. And that his condition had in fact improved compared to when he was first admitted in the hospital.

“He can’t rest properly as many people have been going to visit him. He has therefore been transferred to ICU as the doctor finds he needs to get more rest,” said Riyaz.

He also said that arrangements were being made to take him abroad for treatment. And that he could possibly be flying out on Tuesday or Wednesday.
