Nihan is being treated in ICU

Leader of the PPM Parliamentary Group and MP for the Vili-Malé constituency, Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik has begun treatment in the ICU of ADK Hospital.

A member of the PPM Parliamentary Group has confirmed this information to Sun Media.

Deputy Leader of the PPM Parliamentary Group, Riyaz Rasheed currently at ADK Hospital told Sun Media that MP Nihan was brought to the hospital following a pain in his stomach after the Friday prayers and was hoping to be released by evening. But his transfer to the ICU got to the media.

Although his condition has gotten serious, he has not been given permission to leave abroad for treatment. Sources say that MP Nihan would go into surgery at the hospital soon.

Since the Majority Leader at the Parliament is being treated at ADK, MPs and high ranking government officials are at the hospital.
