Two minors arrested with a large number of drugs

Two minors of the ages 15 and 17 have been arrested with a large number of drugs in N. Velidhoo in a special operation by the Velidhoo Police Station.

Police said that they found a suspected drugs and money were found inside PVC pipe near a mango tree during the search of their residence after their arrest.

And suspected drugs were also found near wall of a suspected park used by the two children to hide drugs according to the Police.

Police said that a total of 84 cellophane packets and 18 rubber packets of suspected drugs were found.

The Magistrate Court of N. Manadhoo has remanded the two children with five days to be detained at a location designated by the Home Ministry to investigate further.

And following information provided by an anonymous source, Police found two 20 liter jerry cans and appliances used to make alcohol in Velidhoo.

While no one has been arrested so far, the two cases are being investigated by the Velidhoo Police.
