Gender Ministry has said that no child of Hawwa Zuha, the woman found dead on a street in Malé City, is in the custody of the state.
What followed in the media after the death of the 23-year-old was that she had two children and one of them was at the Kudakudhinge Hiyaa (orphanage).
The Gender Ministry issued a press statement today refuting that there is a child of Hawwa Zuha under the care of the state at the orphanage.
“A child was of Hawwa Zuha was at no pointed in the custody of the state.” The statement from the Gender Ministry said.
Zuha’s family told Sun Media that she had only one child and is in the custody of the child’s father.
Two people have been arrested following the discovery of the 23-year-old dead on ally of H. Laaluge on Wednesday.
