While the former President of MDP, Dr. Ibrahim Didi and Vice President Al’han Fahumee has been dismissed from their positions, the former Chairperson of the party, “Rico” Moosa Manik has left the party as well.
The current leader of MDP is the former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed who is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence. And the Vice President is Mohamed Shifaz. The Chairperson Ali Waheed is currently self-exiled in London.
The Home Minister said that MDP is dependent on just one person and so is need of reform.
