The inauguration of the construction of the Malé-Hulhulé Bridge Project has been postponed to 30 December 2015.
This was announced by Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Twitter on Thursday night.

Earlier, the government said construction would begin on 24 December 2015.
The reason for the delay is unclear.
The project to construct a 1.39-km bridge between Malé and Hulhulé has been contracted to be completed within 30 months, before the end of 2018.
