Lightning causes power cut in INIA

A major area in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) has been left without electricity following lightning.

The power cut affected the runway and the terminals, bringing all operations to a halt.

Heavy rain is being experienced across the country causing flooding in capital Malé, prompting authorities to issue Yellow Alert.
