Gender Ministry has promised justice for the woman who was sexually assaulted by her husband in G.dh Thinadhoo.
Gender Ministry sent out a tweet on Tuesday in which it condemned the assault, and said that they would do everything possible to find justice for the woman.

The woman suffered injuries so severe it resulted in her being treated in Intensive Care Unit of IGMH hooked up to a ventilator.
A source who wishes to remain anonymous informed “Sun” that the woman had separated from her husband after a disagreement between the two, and had been living with her family for some time.
Police said that Family Protection Authority had filed a case of domestic violence with them, and that a 40 year-old man had been arrested in relation to the case.
“Sun” has been informed that the man in question is Ibrahim Shah. Thinadhoo Court granted a 7-day remand period for the man on Monday.
