Missing money from the Pension Office have been recovered

Maldives Pension Administration has said that they have recovered the missing money.

Police said today that they are investigation the misappropriation of MVR 2 million from the Pension Administration Office. Sources say that the Police suspect Deputy Home Minister Ahmed Adheem.

Pension Office issued a press release today saying that the money has now been recovered and has been reported to the Police.

The statement said that the missing money was not related to the Retirement Pension Scheme or the money deposited by employers and employees.

The suspect in the case Adheem worked at the Pension Office from 2010 to 2014.
