National airline Maldivian has resumed operations to Chennai, India.
The airline suspended flights following recent flooding in the region, which caused Chennai Airport to shut down operations.
Head of Administration of Maldivian Ali Nashath told Sun Media that the first flight departed to Chennai at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
He said that priority was being given to people who had made bookings before the suspension, and efforts were ongoing to operate additional flights.
