Police investigates fake bomb at Ihavandhoo powerhouse

Police have started investigation a fake bomb discovered at the Ihavandhoo powerhouse.

The case was reported to the Police around 9:30 p.m. last night says the Police and wooden sticks wrapped in foil was used to make the fake explosive.

“The fake bomb was set of fire and thrown inside the powerhouse. The powerhouse staff had extinguished it when the Police arrived on scene.” Police said.

The Police are now investigating the fake bomb. Police have investigated cases of fake bombs in Malé City on previous occasions.

Home Minister Umar Naseer said planting fake bombs are acts of terrorism.
