President Nasheed brought to ADK for treatment

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been brought to ADK Hospital for treatment.

The MP for the South Galolhu constituency and member of President Nasheed’s family, Eva Abdulla tweeted that the former President is being treated at ADK Hospital.

President Nasheed’s lawyer Hassan Latheef said that the lawyers were not officially notified but the hospital officials told him that the President was brought. He said that rumors say that the former President has been transferred to Malé Prison.

It is unclear what the former President was treated for. And there has been no word from the Correctional Service on President Nasheed’s transfer to Malé Prison his they are not answering calls.

President Nasheed’s family and lawyers have previously raised concerns that the former President is not receiving proper medical care.
