New building of the Kaashidhoo Police Station officially opened

The new building of the K. Kaashidhoo Police Station has been officially opened today.

A statement from the Police today said that the new building was opened today at a special ceremony held this evening in front of the Kaashidhoo Police Station by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Saudhee.

Police said that the Deputy Commissioner Saudhee, in his speech at the ceremony, said that the newly opened Police Station in Kaashidhoo is a fine example of the people providing support to the Police Service. And said that a good facility officially in use would improve the service, reduce the number of cases reported and speeding the investigation process is important.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the K. Atoll Council, Ibrahim Rauf said that the people have to provide the Police their full support to the Police Service in their effort make Kaashidhoo a low-crime community. And with the opening of the new building, requested the Police to create a safe environment in the island aside from better services that would be provided.

The Police Station in Kaashidhoo was built with over MVR 1.7 million of the people and the Island Council.
