MNDF: Islands flooded in Addu City brought to a normal state

MNDF has said that the water has been drained and the islands that got flooded in the recent rain in Addu City have been brought to a normal state.

Some of the islands in Addu City were flooded in the rain with water entering the houses and destroying a number of properties. MNDF said that 42 houses were drained after they were flooded.

MNDF said that the efforts from the MNDF Southern Command since last Tuesday have installed six pumps in the four connected islands.

Addu City sustained massive damage in the recent rains. Some houses got water damages to refrigerators, bedrooms, sofas and other essentials.
