All channels except TVM banned from Customs

Commissioner General of Customs Mohamed Junaid has ordered a ban all television channels except for Television Maldives in all Customs Service directorates, sections and units.

The announcement singed by Junaid and issued on Thursday orders that no television channel except for the national channel be played in any Customs Service section.

“From 26 November 2015, watching any channel except for the national television channel in any Customs directorates, sections or units is prohibited,” read the announcement.

Customs said that the reason behind the decision was that TVM was the national television channel and that the channel would be enough to provide all information necessary.
