Managing Director of Aasandha Private Limited, Maumoon Abdul-Samad has said that air ambulance service would be introduced before the end of the term of President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom.
In an interview with Sun Media today, Maumoon said that the Maldives has talked to two foreign companies about bring in an air ambulance.
He said that the air ambulance that would be brought to the Maldives would be capable of land on the runway and at sea.
“With God’s will, by the end of the President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom’s five-year term, we will bring an air ambulance to Maldives.” Maumoon said.
Maumoon said that they are thinking of letting the air ambulance be operated by MNDF or Island Aviation instead of Aasandha.
He also said that a number of work would be done to further improve the services by Aasandha.
