Foreign Minister Dunya has met with MEA Shushma

In her official visit to India, the Maldivian Foreign Minister, Dunya Maumoon has met with the Indian Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj.

A tweet from the official twitter account of the Maldivian Foreign Ministry said that the Ministers from the two countries had a “fruitful discussion on issues of mutual concern.”

Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon arrived in India last night. The Foreign Ministry said last night that the purpose of the Minister’s visit to India is to strengthen the existing relationship between the two countries.

The Joint Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, Aishath Azima is alongside Minister Dunya on her visit to India.

The Indian Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj paid an official visit to the Maldives in October.

She arrived in the country for the fifth meeting of the Maldives-India Joint Commission.
