Customs destroys a large number of alcohols

A large number of alcohol confiscated by Maldives Customs during their screenings have been destroyed.

Customs said yesterday that 1751 bottles and 440 beer cans were destroyed. The bottles and cans were crushed with an excavator.

The alcohols were destroyed in Thilafushi with the help of Waste Management Department of the Environment Ministry in the presence of the relevant officials from the Ministry of Defence and National Security, MNDF and Customs officers.
