Teenager in serious condition after traffic collision in Hithadhoo

A 17-year-old boy has been injured in a traffic collision in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

Police Media Official said that the incident took place this morning after two motorcycles collided on Hithadhoo Bodu Magu (main road). And the 17-year-old that was driving one of the motorcycles along with his passenger, a 14-year-old was injured. The media official said that the two children were immediately taken to the hospital.

He said that the other motorcycle involved in the collision also had two passengers but there did not sustain any serious injuries.

An official from the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital told Sun Media that the 14-year-old involved in the collision did not sustain any major injuries. But the 17-year-old sustained a number of facial injuries and is currently being treated at the ICU.
