A ferry going from Hulhumalé to Malé has been damaged following collision with a Hulhulé Island Hotel (HIH) staff ferry.
Mohamed Nazim, senior manager of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), the company which operates the Hulhumalé-Malé ferry, said the accident took place at around 6:00 a.m. and caused minor damage to the boat.
No one was harmed.
“Our boat was hit in the back on the left side. A window was damaged,” he told Sun Media.

He declined to comment on what caused the accident, citing the ongoing investigation; but said the boat would resume operation after repair later today.
