Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has requested the public not to access the west coast beach area, which is under construction.

The project was awarded to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) in August 2015.
It entails deepening a 4,623 square metre area by 3 metres, and the construction of a 2,457 metre beach.
The cost of the project, to be completed in four months, is MVR 41.5 million.
