Hamid Ismail taken to Dhoonidhoo

Hamid Ismail, arrested in Malaysia on Wednesday over the 28 September explosion on presidential speedboat Finifenmaa, has been taken to Dhoonidhoo upon arrival in Maldives.

Police said he is in custody and the case is under investigation.

Hamid is a close aide of Vice President Ahmed Adeeb.

Hamid’s residence M. Shuramanzil has been raided by police several times since the boat blast. Items seized include a CCTV hard disk.
