Third Telecom and ICT Expo begins

For the purpose of showcasing the latest in technology and provide information on them, the Third Telecom and ICT Expo has begun.

The expo that began at the National Art Gallery today would continue till this end of this month.

A number of local companies involved in technology and ICT took part in this year’s expo.

And so the latest in security technology, smart devices, networking has been showcased at the expo.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Telecom and ICT Expo this evening, Fisheries Minister, Dr. Mohamed Shainee said that one of the reasons that a Telecom and ICT Expo is special to the Maldives is that the country is ahead in the sector than the other countries in the region.

The Minister said that looking at the future, it is very important that the Maldivians have their eyes open to technology and would be very beneficial.
