An STO pharmacy has been opened in every inhabited island

State Trading Organization (STO) has opened a pharmacy in every inhabited island of the country.

An official from STO told Sun Media tonight that with the STO pharmacy opened today at H.A. Utheemu today, STO has opened a pharmacy is every inhabited island in the Maldives. But the last pharmacy is to be officially opened on 4 November.

When the STO began the project to open a pharmacy is every island, they were operating pharmacies in nine islands. Since then, STO has opened 177 pharmacies across the country. And so STO has opened pharmacies in 186 inhabited islands in the Maldives.

Former Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim said that the purpose of opening a pharmacy in every inhabited island is to easily provide medication to the people of the country. And the Government hopes that every citizen get medication under the Aasandha insurance.
