Police checks MMPRC in a financial case

Sun Media has confirmed that the Police is checking the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in a financial case.

Sources say that the Police have been checking MMPRC since Friday on case involving a large sum of money. The Police have been bringing in and questioning the Managing Director of MMPRC, Abdulla Ziyath at the Police Station.

The Police was checking the office of the MMPRC for a long time last night.

Sources say that the Police questioned some of the staff of MMPRC today as well.

While the Police is checking the MMPRC office in a finance related case, they have also conducted a search of the residence of it’s manager, Abdulla Ziyath. And the Ziyath was summoned to the Police yesterday and today for questioning.

The Police have not made any statements regarding their investigation of neither MMPRC nor Abdulla Ziyath.
