Vice President calls not to politicize the investigation of the explosion

Vice President Ahmed Adheeb has called not to politicize the investigation of the explosion on board the Presidential Launch.

Speaking on DhiTV’s “Khabaru Therein” (Inside News) program tonight, Vice President Adheeb said that some people see everything as a political opportunity. And he said that it is not good to “put up a photo” and investigating around it. And he requested that the investigation be conducted without being biased. Adheeb said that we have to get to the bottom of this and targeting the investigation towards him is “cowardly” and “insane.”

The Vice President criticized the Home Minister, Umar Naseer on the program tonight.

Indicating to the Home Minister Umar Naseer leading the National Inquiry Commission investigating the explosion, the Vice President said that some people tried to take credit on the incident on 7 February mentioning “Command Center.” And he said that some people referred to “a ladder” at court to the point where they “close themselves.”

“Some people are, they see everything as political things or as political opportunities. So we always see, for example, if 7 February comes or something else comes, we see them making command centers to take credit for it.” Vice President Adheeb said indicating towards the Home Minister.

The Vice President said that he won’t allow anyone to come in between him and the President.

He said that all the politicians in the country want to slaughter him.

“I have become a chicken ready for slaughter.” Vice President Adheeb said.

VP Adheeb said that a group of people are now working to get in between him and the President. He did not say who it was that he is accusing.

“The President has trust in me and I have trust in the President.” VP Adheeb said.

He said that some people cannot digest the developments and success this Government has brought for the youth of the country and that is why they are working to destroy him.

“I could be destroyed and President Yamin could be destroyed. But projects like the bridge cannot be destroyed.” VP Adheeb said.

Responding to the notion that VP Adheeb is not seen in the important Government meetings, the VP said that he does not feel any distant in the relationship with President Yamin. And he said that not every Government event has to be attended by the President or the Vice President. And he met with President Yamin today as well and spent about 90 minutes with him.

VP Adheeb said that he deals with the PG Group on behalf of President Yamin but today’s meeting was not a meeting to pass a bill or something and it was for the President to share information.

“I don’t have to be in the meeting today.” Vice President Adheeb said. He said that small things like that are also being used against him.

Vice President Adheeb did not take part in the President Yamin’s meeting with the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj either. And he was not present at the President’s meeting today with the Parliamentary Groups of PPM, MDA and JP.

The Vice President said that he always works to promote President Yamin and would always stand by his side.

“I will not go to challenge President Yamin.” Vice President Adheeb said.
