Junaid assigned as the CEO of MPL

Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Mohamed Junaid has been assigned as the CEO of the company.

The former CEO of the company, Mahudhee Imad was changed to the position of Deputy CEO.

Talking to Sun Media from Addu City, Junaid said that the change was made by the President’s Office.

“I estimate that the President’s thinking now is to improve the condition of MPL from it’s current condition, based on my experience in the field and education taking into account.” Juanid said.

The new CEO of MPL Junaid said that when he was on the board, there was no executive role on company matters and cannot get into management.

Junaid assured that things would improve from position of CEO.

“I give guarantee to Maldivian businessmen that things would improve from the situations at the harbor today.” Junaid said. Mohamed Junaid has worked in the ship management for 22 years.

He is also active in his own business.
