National Integrity Commission established

President Abdulla Yameen has established a National Integrity Commission.

President’s Office said that the new commission would replace the Police Integrity Commission and the Customs Integrity Commission.

A president shall be appointed to the commission by President Abdulla Yameen, and a vice president shall be appointed by the members of the commission.

No members have been appointed to the commission yet.

The National Integrity Commission Act will apply to four state institutions: Maldives Police Service, Department of Immigration and Emigration, Maldives Correctional Service, and Maldives Customs Service.
