Visham, Hana released on condition they do not leave the country

Former Assistant Attorney General Ismail Visham and his wife Hana Waheed have been released on the condition that they do not leave the country.

Arrested on suspicion of possession, the couple was transferred to five-day house arrest on 29 September 2015, which expired yesterday.

Hana is a public prosecutor at the Prosecutor General’s Office.

They were arrested with drugs and alcohol following a search operation at M. Honey Dew at 11:30 p.m. on 28 September 2015.

Visham was dismissed from his post shortly afterwards, and Hana has been suspended.
