MVR 450,000 stolen from Immigration during break hours

More than MVR 450,000 has been stolen from a counter at the Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration at Huravee Building.

The Police Media Official said that the money was stolen during the break hours today. The Police did not say if there was any staff at the office at the time or not.

“It was reported today at noon. The case is being investigated.” The Police Media Official said.

There have been no arrests made in the case so far.

The theft occurred from the office related to expatriates.
