Judge Abdulla calls on Police to abide by oath

Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed has called on Police to be sincere and abide by their oath.

Thirty Police officers who newly joined the Police force took their oath in front of Judge Abdullah at a ceremony held at Iskandar building yesterday.

Judge Abdullah urged the Police to abide by their oath, to work with citizens, and to keep their actions within the laws and regulations. He said that Police should act as a confirmation of security for citizens, and that good language should be used when addressing citizens.

The ceremony was attended by Head of Services Development Directorate, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef; Head of Human Resources Department, Inspector of Police Ismail Naveen; and Deputy Head of Human Resources Department, Sub-inspector of Police Ahmed Muslim.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Areef said in his speech that every Police officer should obey the rules and regulations, and give importance to patience when fulfilling their responsibilities.
