Four FBI Agents join the investigation team

Police has said that four Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States have joined the team investigating the explosion on board the Presidential launch.

Talking to Sun Media, the Police Media Official said that the investigation is underway with four Agents that arrived from America last night and another who arrived earlier.

And so five Americans and nine Saudi officials are currently investigating the case.

The Australian and Sri Lankan authorities have also decided to help the Maldives in the investigation.

Foreign Minister Dhunya Maumoon has said that the explosion on board the Presidential launch that took place on Sunday after the President and the First Lady returned to the country from the Hajj Pilgrimage is likely to be a targeted attack on the President.

A Presidential Aide, bodyguard and the First Lady was injured in the explosion.
