VP inaugurates Kelaa Futsal Ground

Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has inaugurated a futsal ground in Haa Alifu Kelaa.

The key to the futsal ground was handed over to Kelaa Council Vice President in a ceremony held in the island today.

Speaking at the ceremony, Adeeb said that Kelaa youth often hold futsal tournaments in Malé.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Abdul Muhsin Hameed said 30 futsal grounds have been completed, and work will begin on 166 bashi (local sport) grounds soon.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kelaa MP Ali Arif said that the promise of a futsal ground, made at a ‘harbour kada’ (a simple café), has now become reality.
