Addu City cleans beach

The beaches at Addu City have been cleaned this morning.

According to the news media in Addu City, Shangri La Resort joined the schools in Addu and other institutes to clean the beaches celebrating the International Coastal Cleanup Day.

Aside from a large number of students actively taking part in the event, teachers took part in the event as well. And a large number of bottles, cans and plastic bags were removed from the beaches.

The trash collected at the beaches has been taken to the waste disposal site at the City.
