Hearings end in the murder of Miruza

Hearings have ended in the trial of the three people charged with the murder of Ahmed Miruza.

At the final hearing this noon at the criminal court, both the defense and the prosecution presented their closing statements.

The state has charged Mohamed Shifaau, Abdulla Naseef and Ali Rifshan for the murder of Miruza on 11 April 2011 around 5:45 p.m. with a piece of wood.

At the end of the closing statements, the judge presiding over the case said that if there are more details sought, the next hearing would be a sentencing hearing.
