Reeko Moosa spending MDP money for his 2013 Presidential Campaign

Ruling MDP parliament members spoke against the HulhuHenveyru constituency’s MP Reeko Moosa Manik, who is the acting Chairperson of MDP and former leader of MDP parliamentary group, saying that he is using MDP funds to promote himself as the presidential candidate of MDP for 2013 election.

Some MPs believe that the meeting held by MDP last night to discuss the future of northernmost Bodu Thiladhummathi region was an indication of Reeko Moosa Manik’s bad intention, since he did not discuss the plans with MPs who represent the region. Three MPs from Bodu Thiladhummathi region has said that Reeko Moosa is using MDP funds and doing campaigns in the atolls for 2013 presidential election. Moosa Manik competed President Nasheed in 2008 MDP primary held to choose a presidential candidate to be given the party ticket.

MPs representing Bodu Thiladhummathi says that they are not supporting any candidate other than President Nasheed for 2013 election.
