Government has signed a Line of Credit Agreement worth US$40 million, with Indian Exim Bank today. This money is given by the Government of India through the Exim bank for the project of building 500 housing units under India aid.
According to the Maldivian High Commission in New Delhi, the Line of Credit agreement was signed by the Councilor of the Maldivian High Commission Ms. Aishath Azima on behalf of the Maldivian Government and TCA Ranganathan, MD and Chairman of Exim Bank signed on behalf of the bank.
