Coca-Cola Zero, which has the same coke taste but zero sugar, has been introduced in the Maldives.
In a press release issued today, the Coca-Cola Company said that the new product will be available in modern and traditional trade outlets in Maldives.
Speaking at the launch of Coca-Cola Zero in Maldives, Managing Director of Malé Aerated Water Company, Sanjay Maniku, said, “As we celebrate 25 years of Coca-Cola in Maldives, it is important that we continue to add new choices for our consumers. Coca-Cola Zero comes at a time when Coca-Cola classic has long established itself as the most preferred and trusted refreshment beverage of choice in the Maldives. Coca-Cola Zero complements our existing portfolio and leverages the manufacturing capacities that we have created over the last many years. In a social and demographic set up, where consumers are increasingly demanding safe, hygienic, high quality and consistent hydration options, our portfolio is well placed to cater to the new age consumer’s requirements.”
Coca-Cola products available in the Maldives include Bonaqua, Aquarius, and Schweppes packaged water, Schweppes range of mixers, Energy drink Burn, and a range of sparkling beverages.
First launched in 2005, Coca-Cola Zero is now available in over 150 countries including Maldives.
Elaborating on the launch plans, Country Manager Maldives and Bhutan of Coca-Cola India Private Limited, Abhijit Lahiri, said, “Coca-Cola Zero’s strength lies in its great taste and sharp brand positioning. To ensure that consumers get their first taste of Coca-Cola Zero as soon as possible, we will be reaching out to our valued consumers in the next four months through interesting and engaging acts, all across Maldives. Coca-Cola Zero has been accepted the world over and we are positive that it will hit all the right notes with consumers in Maldives.”
The Coca-Cola brand was established 129 years ago and is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in the Maldives this year.
